Why Cultivating a Morning Routine Is Essential for Personal Growth
Just nine more minutes. (Why is it nine anyway?).
I thought that having a morning routine would make life boring. Learning to cultivate a morning routine has had a profoundly positive impact on my life. I know what to expect when I wake up, and I can take advantage of the theta or alpha state my brain is in for the first 20 minutes of the day.
The theta or alpha state is the same state we are in when we meditate. But we achieve this when we first wake up without meditating — so that’s when I plant the seeds in my mental garden. When we are in this state, our subconscious mind is in prime form to receive anything we want to implement, whether that’s affirmations, more gratitude, or merely creating new healthier habits and changing old neural pathways.
